Ingredients:
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water
- ⅓ cup oil
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3½ cups flour (bread flour or all-purpose flour both work)
Instructions:
- Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to preheat.
- Prepare the Yeast Mixture: In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the warm water, oil, yeast, and sugar. Allow this mixture to sit for 15 minutes to activate the yeast.
- Mix the Dough: Using a dough hook, blend in 2 cups of flour, salt, and the egg into the yeast mixture. Gradually add the remaining 1½ cups of flour, ½ cup at a time, until fully incorporated.
- Shape the Rolls: Form the dough into 12 equal-sized balls and arrange them in a 9×13-inch baking pan. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes to rise slightly.
- Bake to Perfection: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the tops are just golden brown.
