A delightful appetizer featuring crispy pistachio-crusted brie rounds served warm with a sweet fig jam glaze.

Ingredients

  • 4 small Brie rounds (about 2 inches wide)
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup fig jam
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Fresh thyme or microgreens (for garnish)
  • Sliced figs or whole pistachios (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly brush Brie rounds with olive oil.
  3. Press chopped pistachios firmly onto the top and sides.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes until Brie is soft and slightly oozing.
  5. Meanwhile, warm fig jam with balsamic and honey in a small pan.
  6. Once Brie is baked, transfer carefully to a serving plate.
  7. Spoon fig glaze over the tops generously.
  8. Garnish with herbs and extra pistachios or fig slices.
  9. Serve warm with crackers, crostini, or a spoon!
  10. Optional: dust lightly with black pepper for contrast.
