Italian Stromboli Recipe

Enjoy this delicious Italian Stromboli recipe, perfect for a flavorful meal or snack!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube Pillsbury pizza crust
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 10 slices Genoa salami
  • 12 slices sandwich pepperoni
  • 8 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella (shredded cheese can be used)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the pizza crust tube. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in minced garlic, chopped parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
  3. Unroll the pizza crust onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and stretch it out to nearly the size of the sheet.
  4. Layer the deli meats evenly over the stretched dough: start with a layer of ham, followed by salami, then pepperoni.
  5. Arrange cheese slices (or shredded cheese) over the meats.
  6. Carefully roll the Stromboli from one long end to the other, ensuring it is tightly sealed along the seam and ends. Pinch and tuck any excess dough underneath.
  7. Using a serrated knife, make a few diagonal slashes on the top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape during baking.
  8. Brush the top of the Stromboli with the prepared garlic butter mixture, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  9. Bake the Stromboli in the preheated oven for the time specified on the pizza crust tube, following the guidelines for a regular pizza. Do not par-bake as directed on the tube.
  10. Once baked to a golden brown and crispy exterior, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
  11. Serve warm, optionally with red sauce for dipping on the side.

Note: While traditional Stromboli includes red sauce inside, this recipe omits it for dipping purposes.
