Ranch Cheddar Chicken Burgers
Ranch Cheddar Chicken Burgers
Ingredients:
- Chicken Burger Patties:
- 2 lbs ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
- 3 garlic cloves, smashed and minced
- 1/2 cup finely diced onion
- 1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Burger Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, plain bread crumbs, ranch seasoning mix, minced garlic, finely diced onion, and finely shredded cheddar cheese.
Mix until all ingredients are well combined. Be careful not to overmix as it can toughen the patties.
2. Form the Patties:
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, approximately 3/4-inch thick. This recipe should yield about 6-8 patties, depending on size preference.
3. Cook the Patties:
Preheat a grill or large skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or skillet to prevent sticking.
Cook the chicken patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are thoroughly cooked. Patties should be golden brown on the outside and juicy inside.
4. Serve the Burgers:
Toast burger buns on the grill or in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
Place each cooked chicken patty on a toasted bun. Add preferred toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, and extra cheddar cheese.
Optionally, spread ranch dressing or mayo on the top bun before assembling the burgers.
5. Enjoy:
Serve the Ranch Cheddar Chicken Burgers hot with your favorite sides such as fries, coleslaw, or a fresh salad.
