Recipe for Soft Pastry-Style Pancakes
Ingredients:
- 2 potatoes
- 1 glass of water
- 2 sprigs of spring onion
- 1 egg
- 50 grams of cheddar cheese
- 2 cups flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Half a glass of milk
- 1 tablespoon of oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the Potatoes: Place the potatoes in a suitable pot, cover with water, and boil until tender. Once boiled, mash them to a smooth puree consistency.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, grated cheddar cheese, egg, and sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Form the Dough: Add the flour, salt, oil, and milk to the mixture. Knead the dough until smooth. Incorporate the chopped spring onions and continue kneading.
- Shape the Pastries: Tear off walnut-sized pieces of the dough. Sprinkle each piece with sesame seeds and press to shape.
- Cook: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the shaped dough pieces in the pan, turning them to cook both sides evenly until golden brown.
