- 1 (10 oz) bag of mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup red velvet cake mix (dry)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: Red food coloring
- Optional: White chocolate chips or cream cheese frosting for drizzling
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add the mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the red velvet cake mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the rice cereal, stirring until fully coated.
