Savory Sausage Green Bean Potato Casserole – A Must-Try Delight!

Ingredients:

  • 1½ lbs of sausage (kielbasa or smoked), sliced ¼” thick
  • 2 lbs baby creamer potatoes, washed and halved
  • 2 15 oz cans of green beans, drained
  • ⅛ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama®️ seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and generously coat a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Wash the creamer potatoes, halve them, and place them in a sealable gallon-sized bag.
  3. Add vegetable oil, seasonings, pepper, and red pepper flakes to the bag. Seal and shake until the potatoes are evenly coated.
  4. In a large frying pan, cook the sausage over medium-high heat with ¼ cup of water until browned and most of the water has evaporated.
  5. Remove the sausage from the pan and let it cool slightly before adding it to the bag with the potatoes.
  6. Melt the butter in the same frying pan and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Let them cool for a few minutes before adding them to the bag. Seal and shake to mix.
  7. Add the drained green beans to the bag, seal, and shake once more to ensure everything is well combined.
  8. Empty the contents of the bag into the prepared baking dish, spreading them out evenly.
  9. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  10. Carefully remove from the oven, uncover, and serve up this delicious casserole to enjoy its savory goodness!
