- 500g ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup freshly chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 x 500g jars of pasta sauce
- Cheese cubes (mozzarella or cheddar recommended)
Directions:
Prepare the Meatball Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, milk, and eggs.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Form the Cheese-Stuffed Meatballs:
- Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in the palm of your hand.
- Place a small cube of cheese in the center.
- Encase the cheese with the meat, rolling it into a ball. Ensure the cheese is fully enclosed to prevent leakage during cooking.
Prepare the Slow Cooker:
- Pour one jar of pasta sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add the Meatballs:
- Place the formed meatballs on top of the sauce in the slow cooker, ensuring they are not touching each other.
Cook the Meatballs:
- Pour the second jar of pasta sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are completely covered.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on HIGH for 2.5 hours.
Serving:
- Once the meatballs are cooked through and the cheese inside is melted, they are ready to serve.
- Enjoy the meatballs with spaghetti, a side of garlic bread, or on their own.
