- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- ½ cup unsweetened whipped cream (for decoration)
- Candy pieces (for decoration: M&Ms, chocolate chips, etc.)
- Black icing (for snowman eyes and buttons)
- Orange candy (for the carrot nose)
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch sheet cake pan.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined and no lumps remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for about 30 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar and whipped cream until you achieve a fluffy frosting consistency.
- Once the cake is completely cooled, spread the whipped frosting evenly over the top.
- Use candy pieces to design the snowman’s face and buttons. Create the eyes and buttons with black icing, and use orange candy for the carrot nose.
- If desired, sprinkle some coconut flakes around the snowman to mimic snow.
