Soft and Fluffy Milk and Butter Bread
Ingredients:
- 400 ml hot milk
- 20 grams sugar (1 tablespoon)
- 10 grams dry yeast (1 tablespoon)
- 80 grams butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 850 grams tender wheat flour
- 1 large teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine hot milk, sugar, dry yeast, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the tender wheat flour, followed by salt, and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough until it is soft and smooth. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in volume.
- Punch down the dough to remove any air bubbles.
- Divide the dough into 27-30 portions and shape each portion into a ball. Then, gently stretch and roll each dough ball.
- Place the dough balls in a greased baking mold, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Cover the mold and let the dough rise again until doubled in volume.
- In a small bowl, whisk together an egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of milk. Brush this mixture over the risen dough.
- Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 200°C for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
