Soft Sugar Cookies with Hot Chocolate Fudge

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot chocolate fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until the dough comes together.
  5. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once the cookies are cool, drizzle warm hot chocolate fudge sauce over the tops of each cookie.
  9. Enjoy these delicious cookies warm or at room temperature.
