Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the melted butter into the bottom of a 7×11-inch baking dish and place it in the oven until fully melted.
  2. In a large bowl, add the blueberries and ½ cup to 1 cup of white sugar. Toss until the blueberries are evenly coated in sugar and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine self-rising flour, ½ cup white sugar, brown sugar, whole milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
  4. Remove the casserole dish from the oven. Pour the flour mixture over the melted butter, then gently spoon the sugared blueberries on top. Do not stir. Sprinkle a light amount of ground cinnamon over the top.
  5. Bake the dish at 350°F (175°C) for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  6. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
