Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Tahini (runny Lebanese tahini recommended)
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup (or agave nectar/honey)
  • 1 cup Oat Flour (or ground oats)
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 pinch Salt (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes until golden brown and fragrant, then set aside to cool.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the tahini and maple syrup until smooth.
  3. Add the oat flour, cocoa powder, and salt to the tahini mixture. Stir until a thick dough forms.
  4. Roll portions of the dough into 10-12 tablespoon-sized balls.
  5. Roll each ball in the toasted sesame seeds until evenly coated.
  6. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Notes

  • For firmer balls, increase the amount of oat flour slightly.
  • Experiment with adding chopped nuts, seeds, or dried fruits for varied textures and flavors.
  • Ensure you use runny tahini for the best consistency.
  • If the dough is too sticky, add more oat flour gradually.
  • These Tahini Chocolate Balls are not suitable for pets.
  • For a nut-free version, substitute tahini with sunflower seed butter.
