The Toasted Almond Mocha Martini blends almond, coffee, and chocolate into a silky, dessert-like sip. It is indulgent, sophisticated, and quick enough for any occasion. This cocktail stands as a perfect intersection between an after-dinner treat and a showpiece drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz amaretto
  • 1 oz espresso (freshly brewed & cooled)
  • 1 oz chocolate liqueur
  • Ice
  • Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)
  • Toasted almond slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add coffee liqueur, amaretto, espresso, and chocolate liqueur to the shaker.
  3. Shake hard for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is frosty and the mixture feels aerated.
  4. Double-strain the mixture into two chilled martini glasses.
  5. Garnish with a light pillow of whipped cream, a shower of chocolate shavings, and a few toasted almond slices, if desired.

Notes

  • For best results, cool your espresso quickly to preserve aromatics and minimize dilution.
  • Vigorous shaking for 12–15 seconds helps aerate the drink, creating a velvety mouthfeel.
  • If the drink is too sweet, add 0.25 oz extra cooled espresso or a dash of bitters.
  • If the drink is too bitter, increase amaretto by 0.25 oz or use a slightly sweeter chocolate liqueur.
  • You can pre-batch the spirits and espresso for parties, but always shake each portion with ice just before serving to restore foam.
  • Never pre-mix with dairy or whipped toppings; add those just before serving for the best texture.
