Chicken Curry Recipe 🍛
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for another 2 minutes.
4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
5. Add curry powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
6. Add yogurt and mix until well combined.
7. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
8. Pour in coconut milk and season with salt to taste. Stir well.
9. Cover the pan and let the curry simmer on low heat for about 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
10. Once the chicken is cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
