Recipe for Soft Pastry-Style Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 glass of water
  • 2 sprigs of spring onion
  • 1 egg
  • 50 grams of cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Half a glass of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Place the potatoes in a suitable pot, cover with water, and boil until tender. Once boiled, mash them to a smooth puree consistency.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, grated cheddar cheese, egg, and sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the Dough: Add the flour, salt, oil, and milk to the mixture. Knead the dough until smooth. Incorporate the chopped spring onions and continue kneading.
  4. Shape the Pastries: Tear off walnut-sized pieces of the dough. Sprinkle each piece with sesame seeds and press to shape.
  5. Cook: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the shaped dough pieces in the pan, turning them to cook both sides evenly until golden brown.
