A delicious BBQ Bacon Pineapple Burger that combines juicy beef, smoky bacon, and sweet pineapple for a unique flavor experience. This recipe is easy to make and perfect for cookouts or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound 93% lean ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons tangy barbecue sauce, split
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 4 slices juicy pineapple, ½ inch thick, cored
  • 8 pieces uncooked smoked bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place an oven-safe wire rack on top.
  2. In a large bowl, gently mix the ground beef with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, salt, and pepper. Do not over-mix.
  3. Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions (about 4 ounces each). Shape them into patties approximately 3 ½ inches wide and ½ inch thick. Create a small dent in the center of each patty with your thumb.
  4. Lay two slices of bacon in a cross shape. Place a patty in the center, top with a pineapple slice, then wrap the bacon around the patty, securing it with a toothpick. Repeat for the remaining patties.
  5. Place the bacon-wrapped patties on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the patties from the oven and brush the bacon with the remaining 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. While the patties are cooking, toast the brioche buns until golden brown.
  8. Let the cooked patties rest for 5 minutes before serving them on the toasted buns. Add your favorite toppings like lettuce, onion, or cheese.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of barbecue sauce to your preference.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the pineapple slices in barbecue sauce before grilling.
  • Serve with coleslaw or potato chips for a complete meal.
