- 0.75 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 heaping tbsp Gochujang (Infuses heat and umami.)
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- Prepare Gochujang Caramel Paste by combining softened unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and gochujang in a bowl.
- Make cookie dough by creaming butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, then add egg and vanilla.
- Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl and mix with wet ingredients until just incorporated.
- Chill dough covered with plastic wrap for 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix gochujang caramel into the chilled dough to create marbled patterns.
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart, and bake for 11-13 minutes.
