Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (ghee for dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce (soy sauce for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the peeled and deveined large shrimp dry with paper towels. Season them with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. Lower skillet heat to medium. Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, lemon zest, and chicken broth to the skillet. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Coat well with the sauce and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, transfer to a serving dish, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, dry shrimp thoroughly before cooking.
  • Use fresh ingredients like garlic and lemon juice for maximum flavor.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper to your preferred spice level.
  • Serve with crusty bread or rice to soak up the sauce.
